Local Wexford woman Jenny Carty is single handedly responsible for this year's downturn in strawberry production. It has been reported that strawberry fields have been replaced with Vineyards to ensure the endless supply of wine that is required for this woman.
Our reporter caught up with Jenny and reported this:
"I just Love wine!! I have it on my cornflakes in the morning. It goes in my coffee and I even soak in it in the bath".
One famous Italian wine manufacturer is reported to be seeking land on the outskirts of Wexford town to start a massive Vineyard. "With Jenny's love for wine alone this time next year I'll be a millionaire" he says.
