It was announced today by the Penn State Athletic Department that a lifetime ban from campus or any functions related to the university has been imposed on Derek Ribardi. The 37 year old Ribardi, from Morgan City, LA, came under the scrutiny of PSU athletics after they discovered he claims to be a fan and has been sighted in Nittany Lion apparel.
When called for comment, a spokesman for the PSU athletic department said "We at PSU are very conscious of our national image. After finally rebounding from the Sandusky scandal, the last thing this University needed was for a soap-dropping Keebler Elf like Ribardi to be identified as a fan of ours. We wish to move forward as a program and an institute of higher learning, and do not feel that it is possible to do so as long as bandwagon riding clowns like Derek are around."
