Construction workers unearthed the bones of at least five people at the construction area of Sunland Park and the I-10 overpass project. They knew the remains were old, but were stunned when dating tests revealed that a tooth and stone tools found with the bones were about 300,000 years old.
This will now put a tremendous hold on the construction of the freeway known as I-10 and 375. Archaeologist from a local University have now gone to acquire permits to stop the construction area

Even though this is a great finding it will put a big burden on commuters as this may postpone the construction for around 3 years.
