Pittsburgh Penguin Sidney Crosby will miss the upcoming season due to a mid- ice collision on Sunday morning.
It occurred at Sids yearly event, which is attended by Penguins prospects from their minor league affiliates.
It is designed to prepare the next generation of Penguins to "Excell to their fullest potential... just as Sid Crosby has done." according to Owner, and former Penguins Captain, Mario Lemieux.
When asked how the injury occurred, Mr. Lemieux stated,
"As you know, this is our 11th Annual Sids Diving Camp. He was demonstrating a new maneuver that he was preparing for the 2018 season. It is a dangerous, yet graceful move in which he fully trajects himself across the ice."
According to fellow teammate, Kris Letang "Mr. Cosby endearingly calls his latest masterpiece the "Triple Lindy". I can tell you that after spending years of playing with Sidney, that this is truly his Magnus Opus."
The Pittsburgh hockey community is in shock. Local fan Brett Hirsh says "I can't believe he will miss the entire season, oh well, Go Steelers I guess.
