The Engineering Firm of Shudwy, Dewit, & Wen has begun work on redesigning traffic flow through this Indiana town located just northeast of Indianapolis. The town council voted to approve just shy of $300,000 to fund the engineering study because of increased traffic flows anticipated with recent road improvements to Highway 38 just east of the town, and with what they call "extensive" traffice during the annual "Highway 38 Garage Sale."

Orlando Shudwy, principle partner in the firm, said that this is the first traffic circle they have designed, but they have studied similar issues and traffic patterns in other towns in Central Indiana. The proposed circle is anticipated to to include a fountain, planters, and a historical marker that will tell a brief history of the town.

Engineering work is slated to be completed in September of 2017 and bids for acquisition and demolition of effected properties as well as construction of the circle will be sought at that time. Construction is expected to begin in early 2018, with completion of the project by mid-May.
