SEATTLE -- In a surprise announcement to shareholders on Wednesday, Hearst Healthcare owned MCG announced plans for the closure and liquidation of all assets to be completed by November 1, 2017. The Seattle based company, according to their website, 'helps healthcare organizations (in both the government and private sectors) implement informed care strategies that proactively and efficiently move patients toward health.' At this time, current clients are expected to be moved to other Hearst Healthcare networks and employees of the MCG company will be reviewed on an individual basis for transfer or termination by closure date. MCG employs over 700 employees throughout western Washington.
