After an extreme outcry from NFL fans put pressure on the entire league, today Roger Goodell resigned as Commissioner of the National Football League. Goodell had been under pressure for his incompetent handling of the player's kneeling at NFL Games. Pressure grew as even President Donal Trump called him out for allowing Players to disrespect the American Flag at their games.

Things escalated and finally came to a head on Sunday after several teams such as the Sound Seahawks, the Tennessee Titans, and Oakland Raiders didn't even come out of their locker rooms for the National Anthem. The Dallas Cowboys came out and knelt together as a Team before the playing of the National Anthem, angering fans further.

Fans have threatened to boycott the NFL for the rest of the season. Fan participation was down over 9 percent in 2016. So far in 2017 it is down 11 percent and expect to grow worse.

Fans all over the Country are burning NFL clothing and other collectables, and many are returning items they have purchased recently.

It's time for Team Owners to learn to respect their fans, and set rules for Player behavior on the field. No more fouls on the sidelines during the National Anthem or display of the American Flag.
