On October 21st of this year, leading botanist Dr. Faye Knoos released the results of her widely covered potato study.
"I don't know how we never noticed this before" Dr. Knoos said "but the science is in and it's solid. Potatoes do not exist. All known instances of potatoes are, in fact, elaborate fakes.
This news comes as a shock to farmers in the province of P.E.I. Charlottetown farmer David Davidson, in an interview with CBC news went into detail regarding the social and economic disaster that could result if the research went public.
