For the first time since 2011 The University of Virginia football program is Bowl eligible. U.V.A knocked off fellow acc opponent Georgia Tech 40-36 to gain bowl eligibility and advance to a 6-3 record on the season. The University also annouced that regardless of bowl outcome they would be handing out participation trophies to mark this momentous occasion.
