Lady Gaga was confirmed today to be the headlining act for the Willamette Country Music Festival for August 2019.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, made the drastic genre change from pop legend, to country crooner, when she released her record “Joanne” in the summer of 2016. The album had country roots with enough Rock n’ Roll and pop edginess to be pursued for the festival and was met with mass approval across the state when it was announced she would be performing.
The Grammy award winning singer, who is currently on a promotional tour for her new film “A Star is Born”, is the first ever pop recording artist to be pursued and approved for the usual country festival. Tickets for the August 15th to 18th concerts will begin sales on February 1st with VIP tickets beginning at $900 for all four days and general admission at $500.
