An expectant mother disappeared from a grocery store parking lot leaving her two young children strapped in their car seats. When Sharon Scruggs noticed a parked car with the driver's side door opened and heard the sound of crying from inside the vehicle, she immediately went to investigate. Upon approaching the car she found two young toddlers alone and strapped in car seats, both crying for their mama. The car trunk was open with several bags of groceries inside and nearby was a grocery cart with several bags of groceries still in it.
"At first I thought the mother must have forgot something in the store and ran back in for a moment," said Mrs. Scruggs who found the children. "It all see odd from the start though. It bothered me that someone would leave two kids alone in a car, doors wide open and a grocery cart half unloaded. I had a bad feeling about it."
Mrs. Scruggs said that she waited by the car to calm and reassured the children while another passerby went into the store to find the mother. After being unable to locate a parent, the store manager called 911. Police have identified the missing woman as 28-year-old Susan Jones of Atlanta. She is described as being 5 foot 5 inches in height, blonde hair, green eyes and eight months pregnant. Police ask that anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Susan Jones to contact the local authorities.
