Wednesday evening, Kendallville Police went to the residence of Alyssa Handshoe due to calls of someone screaming. Kendallville police had to break through the barricaded home, to find the body of Paula Handshoe beaten and stabbed to death. Upon searching the residence police found Alyssa Handshoe in the basement of the home. The 23 yr old female was saturated in blood and still held the weapon. "She was empty eye'd.." Stated one of the officers, they had to surround her in the laundry room, with a bit of a struggle, officers had to taze Ms Handshoe several times. Upon being taken into custody, Ms Handshoe could be heard screaming repeatedly, "I had to take the cougar b**** down!!!". Funeral arrangements will be held for Paula Handshoe later this week.
