On the 16th October a young man named Zac Hartley came forward to Lancashire County Police with a rather disturbing image of a male teacher at St Wilfrids High School who appeared to have an erection while leaning over one of his students, supposedly helping with his GCSE coursework. Tomlin Jackson, the IT student made a statement saying he felt very disturbed by the whole scenario and was not sure what to do, he said that his teacher had always acted rather favourably towards him and always made inappropriate gestures towards him. The teacher in question is now being held by police and will appear before magistrates in court on the 1st November to prove his innocence. The St Wilfrids teacher has resigned from his position and will not be able to teach until his trial has ended and he is found innocent, if not he could face up to 12 years in prison and pay a £1,000 fine in compensation for Tomlin Jackson and his family.
