Girl Dies After Tragic Twist Of Fate

Lauren Rennie, 15, a girl from Edinburgh, has died, suffering a heart attack whilst playing football with her friends.
On Sunday the 30th October at approximately 16:00, Miss Rennie collapsed with chronic chest pain and was rushed to hospital. After suffering hypovelemic shock whilst in transit to the hospital, she was pronounced dead at 17:36, at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.
Thoughts have went out to the family and friends of the young teenager. Her friends who were present at the time of the incident have said to be shocked.
Hannah Moir, 15, a long time friend of Rennie gave us the following statement.
"It's hard to put into words what happened. You know, we just didn't act quick enough, we panicked and got the ambulance. I'm still in shock, I don't quick believe what's happened yet. I know if this is incredibly hard for me to deal with, how hard it is for her family."
