At about 11:30 Friday night, Carson Peters of Jamestown, arrived at Quik Fill on 305 3rd St. where what appears to be an attempted armed robbery went wrong. After demanding the cash from the register, the cashier was taking too long and Peters fired two shots killing him and fled the scene immediately. Officers appeared at Peters house shortly after and made the arrest after a short skirmish.
Peters was apparently in a hallucitory state because according to him, "he just needed a popper." And he even went so far as to stash tobacco in his asshole to smoke in prison, but officers found the contraband following a thorough strip search. Court is scheduled for Monday at 1 PM and more information is coming soon.
