A Donaghmede man who has made a living as a Peter Beardsley impersonator has been jailed for taking their resemblance too far. Philip Mooney was caught telling people he was the real Beardsley and looking for appearance fees of up to €1000. The scheme only fell apart when one eagle eyed lady was heard telling a friend that the real Beardsley was much better looking than that ugly bastard.
When asked for a comment from this paper Mr Mooney was quoted as saying "but'eh ye know like we're gonna go there and we're gunna beat em,haway"
