Kane pepper , 16 from Basildon has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed multiple times in the chest around 9:50 pm, last night
The man, aged in his 40s and from Vange, was walking in the underpass alongside the BP garage, in Nethermayne, Basildon, at about 9.50pm last night when the attack took place.
Police believe a Rambo knife was used in the attack.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, and his condition is currently described as life changing injuries
The underpass remains cordoned off while officers carry out investigations.
