The Catholic Church in Ireland through the high court have successfully appealed an old antique law which will prevent the traditional Halloween celebrations .
In 2017 all costumes will be banned from
Sale in Ireland creating a potential black market sale of costumes from the U.K. But with brexit likely to be in place , any persons found in possession of costumes and Halloween paraphernalia could be charged with far more severe penalties than normally.
Children will have to wear more Catholic orientated costumes Like Priests, Monks , Nuns and White witches.
Bobbing the apple will be replaced by flipping the communion .
A web page will be set up shortly by Keep Halloween for the wicked campaign .
It will be interesting to see how many pagans will sign it as a further protest to the Catholic Church of Ireland
