Non league footballer Ryan Thorpe has been given a shock 2 year contract at championship side QPR.
After a dreadful run this season and lack of goals from QPR the former Abbey Rangers and North Warnborough striker signed a pay as you play contract believed to be in the region of £700 a game plus bonuses.
In a club interview Thorpe said " I can't believe it, it all came out the blue and I will cherish this moment with open arms giving my all for the club Iv supported as a boy"
Thorpe is believed to be a natural goal scorer who just puts the ball in the back of the net, something which QPR are failing to do this season. Will he take the Loftus Road faithful by storm, or is this just a ridiculous move by manager Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink?
