A former Kentucky State Trooper and US Marine vetern was arrested in Lexington this afternoon by Metro police. According to the arrest citation, Keith Roberts was operating his Mercedes S550 on KY 4 near Fayette Mall when he was stopped by metro officer D Bowling. Bowling received a call that a vehicle matching the description of Roberts' was speeding and operating recklessly. Bowling stopped Roberts who became belligerent and uncooperative and advising him he wasn't speeding and that he had the wrong person. Bowling stated that Roberts resisted arrest by crossing his arms and leaning against his vehicle. After several additional officers arrived, Roberts was tazzed and taken into custody. He was released after posting $10,000 full cash bond.
