Thomas May, 21 from Farnham is reportedly the first man in the world to be officially addicted to Internet memes. He was committed to Pelham Woods in Dorking last week following medical advice. Here's what his friends said:

"First he tagged everyone in our friend group on Facebook posts every now and then. Then it was daily, then up to 6 times a day. When we stopped responding he took to our Facebook group chat, where he would post endless amounts of memes annoying us all. Eventually he left the group chat after we expressed our annoyance, but it didn't end there. The he started tediously sharing memes through private messaging all of his friends. It had to stop."

Doctors are astounded by this phenomenon, and are now suggesting that people regulate the amount of memes they share per day to 2 a day, as to prevent further cases.
