Last night around midnight police were called to the residence of Dawn Vinacco for a disturbance. When Birmingham PD arrived they found Dawn in the backyard with a gun. As police approached they noticed she had already taken shots at a victim dressed in a clown suit. Dawn claims she chased him from the residence for peeking in the windows and attempting to come through the backdoor. Although it was unclear what the victims intentions were, Dawn claims her fiancé was at work and she was only protecting her family. The victim is a white male approximately 35 years of age. No names have been released at this time. The coroners office will have to retrieve dental records to ID the victim due to the shotgun wounds to his face. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff Lloyd Arrington said "its unfortunate things like this happen." District Attorney says they plan to prosecute maximum sentence. Dawn is being held on $500,000 bond.
