After a stellar performance for his high school team, Swansea City AFC are reported to be interested in Benjamin Finlay, a seventeen-year-old striker from Wales. He lives in Malaysia and has competed in multiple tournaments recently, both nationally and continentally. He captained his team to victory in two major competitions, one of which was held overseas. Finlay was named in the ACSC Team of the Tournament, arguably the competition's best striker. He was the top goalscorer of his team this past season, bagging the most assists as well. Finlay is an avid Swansea fan, and describes "it is a dream come true. I've always wanted to play for Swansea, it's the only club that really means something to me." Finlay has been offered a £5,000-a-week contract (The Star) and is expected to sign for the club in the 2017 January transfer window. Finlay is yet to take a medical, but Swansea have high hopes for the youth star.
