It was a lucky day for one Gold Coast Teen after he won the Lotto overnight.
Jarrod McClelland, from Gold Coast woke up on 1st November to learn he was the winner of the big $30 million Oz Lotto Powerball. During an interview with a local radio station he said "I never thought I would ever win, I bought the ticket as a joke".
When asked what he would do with the money he said "I dunno, probably put it in Moon Racer pokie and hope for the best or maybe by a car and house".
He is the first teenager to win big on Lotto and says he will continue to buy tickets as he has always been lucky in life.
Lotto spokesperson, Lauren Caulfield told us earlier "The jackpot has never gone off in Gold Coast before nor has it gone off for a teenager, especially as young as he is!"
The newsagent in Surfers Paradise said they couldn't believe it when their own shop gave out the winning ticket and told everyone that it will go off at their shop again next time!
With schoolies around the corner and Mr. Jarrod McClelland loaded up with cash, I think it's safe to say he will be a popular catch with the locals.
