A man has been charged in Co Kildare with the theft of a Pumpkin.
34-year-old Daniel Brereton with an address in Coill Dubh, Naas, Co. Kildare, appeared at a special sitting of Naas District Court on charges relating to the alleged unlawful taking of the Pumpkin at Allenwood, Co. Kildare on Sunday.
The man was further remanded in custody to a sitting of the District Court at Naas. The owner of the Pumpkin Mr Denis O'Brien is said to be traumatised at the theft of his beloved "V8" saying - i was planning it all year, i even imported lights from China to lite it up! I'm devastated over the whole ordeal Mr O'Brien said.
