Two women from Athy, Co. Kildare were last night arrested for disturbance of the peace, when the local guards had to be called to a scene taking place outside Athy town hall at 19:41 yesterday evening. The argument is said to have started when one of the women ( Deidre ) said that she didn’t agree with the statement, “ Once you go black you never go back “ and insisted that even the colour was a big turn off to her. The other woman in question ( Teresa ) took offense to this and was heard to shout “ How the F**K would you know if you have never tried “ before a fight ensued.
Garda Burton said of the incident last night, that both women had calmed down after spending some alone time in the cells and Deidre has agreed to include both BLACK & WHITE puddings every time she has a fried breakfast and not to run down someone elses food choice before she has even taken a taste....
