A judge has issued an arrest warrant for Ballincollig man Morgan O Mahony in relation to criminal activity in the Ballincollig area as part of a wider investigation into organised crime. Gardaí advised the judge he may be a key player in the trade which sees most of its business take place in the vicinity of supermarkets in the Ballincollig area, all of which he listed. After issuing the warrant the court was adjourned as the judge wanted to find out "why the fuck are there two Aldi's, two SuperValus, a Lidl, a Tesco and a Dunnes Stores in a 'little village'"
