Scots oil worker in Thai jail hell

A scottish oil worker has been arrested and is now languishing in a notorious Thai jail. Corey MacDonald, 23, was arrested on Monday evening accused of exposing himself in a public place and lewd behaviour. MacDonald's legal representative says his client denies these accusations and insist he was simply scratching an itch in a sensitive area. He claims that before his trip to Thailand Mr MacDonald had been on a night out with his work colleague and new best friend Craig Duffy. He claims they woke next morning in the same bed and has had an uncontrollable itch in his groin ever since. MacDonald also claims he went behind bushes to attend to the itch but this claim is refuted by witness's who claim he exposed himself and committed a sexual act outside of a fast food restaurant while holding what appeared to be a pineapple his left hand.
The British embassy in Thailand is aware of the situation and has been in contact with Mr MacDonalds family. A family spokesperson who has been in contact with him said "He's doing fine but keeps asking what time they serve dinner".
Craig Duffy, the new best friend of MacDonald was asked how he thought his friend would be coping with the situation and replied "dunno".
MacDonald, originally from Dumfries now lives in Grangemouth and claims to be a fitter at the huge oil & gas plant located in the town. It is also alleged that upon his arrest MacDonald gave a false name and identified himself as William Brand. This happens to the name of a co-worker and when asked if he was angry at being told this Mr Brand replied "aye".
Stunned workers at the plant came out in support of MacDonald. Matt Ford, another co-worker said of the allegations "well, eh eh, ah wis shocked when ah heard aboot it, like ah said, ah wis shocked when ah heard aboot it".
Gary Laird, also a fitter at the sprawling plant said "I'm gone furra a fag, back in a bit"
Colleague and former best friend Jamie Scott also commented when asked about the allegations "He probably did it".
MacDonald (pictured) was on 3 week trip to the country. A further court appearance is planned for early next week.
