POLICE are hunting a pervert spotted performing a lewd act in a stranger’s back garden.

A 88-year-old woman, who does not want to be named, saw a man peering through her bedroom curtains while she was changing early hours in the morning.

The woman told how she has been too scared to return to her house ever since the incident on Thursdays.

She said: “I heard a noise coming from my garden so I rushed to the window to see what it was. There was this young shifty looking ketwig shamelessly staring at back at me.


“He walked around the house, trying to peer through all the curtains, trying to see me. It was so frightening.

“I’ve not been able to return in case he comes back.

After spotting the pervert performing a sex act on himself she dialled 999, fearing he would break in.

The suspect fled the scene.

The woman added: “I’m sure this isn’t the first time he’s been to my house. I’ve heard noises outside before and found footprints, and once I saw a man run from my garden.

An Merseyside Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to reports of a man acting suspiciously in the back garden of a property in School Close, Bellevale at around 7.30am on Thursday 3rd October. Officers are investigating that the man may have exposed himself.”

The man involved in the incident was Caucasian, aged in his early 20s, about 170 centimetres tall with dark brown hair.

At the time of the offence he was wearing black baggy pants and a baggy blue jumper.

Merseyside Crime Investigation Unit detectives released an image of a man they are now seeking in relation to the incident .
