Late evening on Saturday, a Poundland delivery lorry was raided by what thought to be local tramps from St.Austell homeless shelter.
In the process of the getaway an old lady who wishes to remain anonymous witnessed the ordeal from the entrance of the William hill betting shop in the St.Austell town centre. She stated "I witnessed the ordeal from my mobility scooter. I was shocked at the half-naked trash running around the street. When i attempted to stop them by parking in the way and honking my horn. One of them put me in reverse and sent me shooting back into the betting shop".
A spokesperson from the store insurers said "We have our suspicions this felony was a insurance scandal to make us payout".
In the near futue we see Pounland becoming a regular shoplifting haven. Crimes committed by the homeless in St.Austell is continuing to rise dramatically and is predicted to spiral out of control by the end of 2017.
