A 22-years-old city worker has been named as Miss Galway 2013, and will go forward to compete in the Miss Ireland contest in June.

Niamh Molloy from Milltown currently works in Andersons in Drumcondra, she is currently in final year studying to become a primary school teacher.

She had never modelled before in her life, but last week she had to do a photoshoot wearing New Look clothes and model a casual, swimwear and evening wear on the ramp in Coyotes Late Bar, where the event was held.

Fourteen young women entered the competition and, in fact, Niamh only decided that day to go in for it and borrowed an evening dress from a friend.
