A 49-year-oldman from Waterford came forward Tuesday as the winner of Saturday April 30, 2016 $314 million Powerball game.

Kenneth D'Anna of Waterford, spoke at a news conference in Lansing and announced he planned to take a lump sum worth $199 million before taxes. D'Anna purchased the winning ticket at the Speedway station on Dixie Hey near Maybe Rd in Clarkston Michigan.

The numbers were 3 -12- 16 - 32- 34 and the Powerball was 14

"I'm still in disbelief," D'Anna said. "I'm overwhelmed. "We knew we won months ago, we just held out cashing it. It was tough to keep a secret from our families"

The jackpot can be paid over 30 years or the winner can take a lump sum.

D'Anna says he'll take care of his step kids and 1 grandchild and immediate family and a few choice friends and relatives with the jackpot. His grandchild who attended the news conference said she wants a "big Barbie house" and an iPhone 6.

"I kept trying to focus my eyes on the numbers and dates," she said. "You just don't ever think it's going to happen."

D'Anna said he hired a financial planner to help manage the large windfall.

"I haven't even thought about how we're doing anything," he said. "My main focus was getting somebody to help me so I can make the right decisions."

Stephanie D'Anna wife of 14 years, said he was sleeping when her husband realized he won the Powerball.

"I said, 'You're kidding me, get out of here,' " Strphanie said. "I thought I was dreaming. He goes: 'No, we won it.' I had to look at it. I looked on his phone, grabbed my phone, pulled the website up. I just couldn't believe it. I said, 'I really need to go back to bed to get up for work.' He said, 'You don't ever have to go to work.' " Then we sat and talked a bit, decided to hold out till the end of the year.

D'Anna said he and his wife plan to travel a bit and enjoy life.

"Just being financially set, my kids taken care of, being able to travel and being able to do what we want to do — that's really all we want," D'Anna said.
