Ah Christmas, a time that many enjoy for the spoken words of peace and love. Carols are sung in the homes of our citizens and on the streets to spread the joy of the holiday season. Where adults and children alike from all over the country make merry amongst themselves and others by erecting a Christmas tree, stringing up lights, and hanging holly in their homes. We definitely cannot forget the lighting of the candles in the windows as a guide for Santa. Some even participate in singing songs or telling stories of the First Noel.

Sadly, this Christmas will be unlike any other that the world has ever witnessed. For our great Christmas icon and jolly mascot Santa Claus…... has been attacked!

On December 24th, a woman wearing a Jack Skellington mask snuck into Santa’s workshop in the North Pole unannounced and started firing off tear gas into the building screaming for the elves to get down and stay where they are.

“She was armed with arrows, so I hunkered down as low as I could and held onto my sack of plums for dear life!”, one of the elves who was in charge of the others at the time mentioned during the interview to find out what had all happened during that fateful night.

He was giving out plums to the elves on break and had heard the commotion. He also said that he had managed to hide behind one of the more larger boxes in the workshop and got a good look at the suspect.

“She was walking around scaring the other elves and even picked up an elf that was standing near the conveyor belt to ask where the to quote in her own words: jolly fat man in the suit was. Of course, they told her. Poor things were scared for their lives and so was I.” said another elf.

It was then stated by the other elves that she had left the building ,after stuffing her bag with a couple of presents, in search of Santa with the information that was given to her after locking all the elves in the workshop inside. The few elves that were outside at the time had heard the noises and were trying to keep hidden as to not be noticed by the strange attacker. She was seen entering the stables where Santa was located as he was checking up on his reindeer to see if they were in top physical condition for the next night’s ride. Sounds were heard from inside the stable, mostly the bleating of the upset reindeer and the noise from Santa trying to reason with her then silence. She was then seen leaving out of the doors of the barn yelling at one of Santa’s prized reindeer, Rudolph, calling him an overgrown donkey as she hitched him to Santa’s sleigh. She was last seen leaving the scene with the reindeer after throwing the bells out of Santa’s sleigh, most likely to keep down the noise. Santa was later found unconscious and tied up to a beam in the barn by some rope and a ribbon tied into a bow like a present for the elves to find.

Santa is recovering in the hospital as his elves send out a message promising a reward for the stolen reindeer hoping that he is found safe and sound as a top priority. More detailed information on this story tonight at 5 pm.
