Martin Pilkiewicz from Belfast has been taken to court for a string of driving offences.

The Belfast born Polish interpreter was caught on road CCTV a number of times around Northern Ireland driving up to speeds of 40 miles per hour in zones which only allow the maximum speed of 20 miles per hour. Police records show that Pilkiewicz has also been given points on his license in the space of 3 years gathering a total of 9 points.

A PSNI spokesperson has said, "We take driving offences very seriously and we have been putting our foot down especially with speeding. We will continue to tackle drivers like this to ensure the safety of the public."

The full time NHS interpreter will attend court later in the month.
