The State of Michigan has began a proposal revoking New mothers their parental rights if they can't pass 3 test before taking new baby home. Amongst 11 Major hospital in the state including but not limited to UofM, Providence, Henry Ford Health System, Beaumont, and Oakwood. Law makers have spent over 1.6 billion dollars in assistance for single mothers or families with low to no income. There are worries that the families have falsified information to collect assistance such as Fathers Names, occupation and Residential debts. The State of Michigan will be investigating whether the families are fit to raise the child. While most of the Fathers may get off the hook the heat falls on the moms at the time of birth.
Test 1: Must prove DNA of father whom mother is requested signature on birth certificate. (DNA test are provided by hospital) If failure to provide or pass test Cash Assistance and or Child support with be forfeited and can not be reinstated at a later date. WIC AND EBT will remain open!
Test 2: Must Take and Pass a 10 panel drug test. If failure to consent or pass CPS will be immediately notified and court hearing will be scheduled immediately.
Test3: Must allow 1 CPS worker 1 DHS worker and 1 State Trooper access to home for 106 point inspection before allowing new baby to be released to care. Must show 5 proofs of residency. If failure to pass inspection and or proof of resident the child will be able to be released to a family member who can pass the inspection. Documents will be signed and custody with be surrendered to the family whom you choose.
