Alexis Howell of Hopkinsville, KY was fleeing from the police in a red Mustang on February 8, 2017 after she was pulled over and the cops found 8 pounds of synthetic marijuana in the trunk.

The teen then went on a high speed chase down I-24 towards Nashville when she successfully avoided the police.

Saturday morning the Hopkinsville Police Department got an anonymous call stating the suspect was at her boyfriend's grandmother's home in Cadiz, KY.

Howell was placed under arrest and due to being 17 going on 18 was placed in the Christian County Jail to await trial. The minor is facing up to 15 years in the state penitentiary. Her mother, Cherie Howell, is also considering pressing charges for grand theft auto.
