The board conservationists of wild life of southern Nevada have been fighting the case 1980 (water/fish conservation rights) since April, 2015. If you are caught fishing it will be a $3,000 fine. Do to the shortage of fish escalating through out the years, this was a decision made effective immediately. Starting June, summer of 2017, fishing will be ILLEGAL. Tammy leon, wild life advocate, first brought up the statistics and data to the board conservationists of wild life of southern Nevada. It was a long process because it was irrational to the sales market. The fishing market is big in states with famous lakes, ex: lakemead. This will be a big problem with companies such as Bass Pro Shop, with the drop in inventory this will either down size them or maybe even shut them down later in the future. If your a fishermen in Nevada and you haven't had luck catching a big load of fish it isn't because of the drop though, it is because you my friend suck. Due in one year will be a board meeting to decide when they should bring back licensed fishing.
