No, this is not a drill. Avenged Sevenfold are holding open auditions for a second rhythm guitarist in their hometown of Huntington Beach, California.
Following their recent success of their 8th studio album, The Stage, they have been taking the world by storm, embarking on an incredible World Tour, alongside artists such as Disturbed and In Flames, and later on this year, they add Florida's A Day To Remember to the bill.
M Shadows has released a statement to Alt Press that states:
"You know, the fans have been so good to us and they are the most kick-ass fans in the metal community, in our opinions of course! So we feel like we have done everything we can to get the fans involved with the band. Meet and greets, VIP, pop up shops, we even left it to the fans to decide our fan club name, Deathbat Nation. Sick, right?
So we decided that for our first 2/3 shows of our tour with the guys from ADTR, we wanna try out a second rhythm guitarist, just to fill a void we feel we have when we play live."
The auditions will be held on the 1st of April at the Long Beach Arena, where they played all the way back in 2008 as part of their release of "Diamonds In The Rough" and "Live in the LBC"
