Barron Burton, 34, originally from Donora, Pennsylvania, relocated to Kihei, Hawaii, Maui County, stated that he, "Wanted to be closer with nature." In 2010 he made the decision to move to Hawaii as a companion and stay at home partner.
During his long days at home by himself, realized he needed to find a new hobby.

Burton made multiple trips to the beach, week after week. His time at the beach create relationship issues that ultimately resulted in a split between him and his companion.

A female who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation from animal lovers stated,"Barron was spending more times with sea creatures then he was spending at home."

During this time she became suspicious of his activities, stayed home from work, waited in her car, and followed him to his afternoon hangout.
"I followed him to the beach and watched him from a distance." She stated.

Mr. Burton was seen kissing and touching, and stroking a dolphin. When confronted, Mr. Burton quickly exited the water, covering his body, and wiping his mouth. He said, "Just reliving my college years. Don't hate the player, hate the game."

Kihei Police Department issued Mr. Burton a citation for indecent exposure and engaging in unlawful contact with sea creatures.
