Strange occurrence continues in sleepy Northern Illinois Village

Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary during the election season. But this year, in the northern Illinois village of Mundelein, a series of strange occurrences have continued.
"At first we thought nothing of it" claimed one of the residents who first saw a sign on the street.
Through the history of elections never before has something as random ever happened.
Through fate, or an act of voodoo worship, it appears that 5 residents running for office completely independant of each other continue to accidentally show up to the same political rallies.
"First our names showed up on the same signs, then there they were again" stated the trustee candidate.
After many unattempted attempts to distance themselves from each other, they were again seen at a political rally.
"I couldn't believe it" said one of the independent slate members. "What are the chances?"
Rumour of curses soon were spread throughout Facebook groups and eventually a minister was brought in to remove the curse, unfortunately the minister only accepted Korean money.
The cursed continues for group of independents, who appear to be stuck together in a strange unexplained twist of political fate.
