A recent study by Current Research About Posts (C.R.A.P) has revealed that nine out of ten people online do not check the validity of so-called news articles before they share them.
Rather than cross-reference information given in the article, or even search for another news source reporting the same story, 90 of web browsers absent mindedly click the "share" button on social media after blindly accepting the article as fact, usually with a comment along the lines of "OMG so hrtbrken rite now. Thgts and prayers to the familes of this fake story".
Experts have warned that taking part in this sort of behaviour causes bullshit to propagate and leads to the dumbing down of humanity.
