DEMOLITION at the former multi storey car park in Neath was at a standstill this morning after a workman unearthed what was later confirmed as a Corned Beef Pasty from Hunts Bakery, a former cornerstone of society in Neath.

The relic was reported as fully intact but missing the bag. It was confirmed as genuine by experts from The Natural history museum in London and CADW.

The treasure has since been moved to a safe unnamed location awaiting transportation to The national Museum of Wales, St Fagans.

Previous reports of retail giant John Lewis moving to Neath are now in severe doubt as the area could become a site of natural and historic interest and immune from development. Especially as there was a previous find at the site on monday when a workman came across half of a Fosters Menswear carrier bag, which is currently awaiting valuation at Sothebys of London.

The area is still under police surveillance due to the threat the area could become a 'gold rush' attraction.

More to follow.
