The Cubs and White Sox are renewing their friendship! The Southside team is taking notes and have decided to try to emulate their Northside counterparts way of rebuilding. The Chicago White Sox are in the midst of a rebuild and are auctioning off every viable asset to speed that process up.
Multiple reports say their number one chip, starting pitcher Jose Quintana may be a Chicago Cub by as early as tonight (This deal has not been agreed upon as of 8 PM central time) Pitching prospect Zack Burdi would also be joining Quintana.
In return, the Southsiders would acquire (WARNING Cubs fans..........stop reading if you have a weak stomach) Kyle Schwarber and an unconfirmed report of Cubs prospect Ian Happ.
It's said the sticking point is the Cubs unwillingness to also add in uber prospect Ian Happ who batted .400, had 25 rbi's and 5 homeruns in the preseason.
"Normally, you try to cash your chips in for as many prospects as you can buy if you get a chance to land a player the caliber of Kyle Schwarber, you get it done" said a source from the Sox who agreed to only discuss the "rumored" proposal under the "wink-wink" "off the record" convo.!
