The ingram police department responded to a call in the 300 block of moore street at aprox 11:45PM wednesday april 12th. two dogs were seriously injured and one dog had to be put down due to the seriousness of his injuries. as further inspection the kerr county animal control unit that responded to the scene with the ingram city police had confirmed the dogs had in fact been attacked by mountain lions. this is the second call the ingram city police department has recieved calls about mauled animals and mountain lion sightings. the department is recommending keeping your animals safe inside as the warm weather is bringing out mountain lions to residential areas and we believe this is because of the increase of stray animals. we also recomend not going outside after dark.
