She says music is in her soul. And it seems to be true. NC has had its share of participants on television music competitions, but this is the first time that it appears a grandmother may take a vocal reality show prize.
Edna Sigrid Burke, of Lillington, NC, has performed in musicals and operas for most of her adult life. Excited beyond her dreams, Edna says she's working hard and will just take it a week at a time. Ms. Burke also says the judges are the best. If she wins, Edna will buy a house, finish her education, and donate the rest to charity.
