The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has stated that they are noticing a rise in something at Philpott Lake...and it isn't the water. It's snakes. People all over the surrounding counties have even reported more snake sitings at the lake. At this time there is not a reason for the snakes to come out other than the change in temperatures. Every year it seems to get warmer earlier. Just be on the look out.
