Tumut police have been conducting an investigation on illegal hunting in the Bondo state forest and Snowy mountain's region.

A local tumut man (Angus Shepherd) has been brought to attention after being seen on National parks cameras and several complaints from farmers about illegal hunting in the area. A local farmer allegedly caught angus chasing his sheep with hunting dogs on a farm not far from Tumut. Although it is not the first time the young offender has been caught hunting illegally in the area he still continues to do so. Snr constable Trent Jackson quoted in an interview last wednesday that "There will be serious penalties if caught hunting in our region, as illegal hunting is a serious problem around tumut".

If anyone has seen Angus or caught him hunting illegally that they are urged to contact local police so that Angus is brought to justice.
