Coal miners received great news Friday. In addition to the halting of industry choking Obama era regulations, miners will now be given flex time instead of overtime allowing them to bank hours and have paid days off. "It will really help with scheduling Dr. visits and working with the kid's school schedules" says 15 year miner Joel Hasselback. In addition to receiving flex time, states are setting up Right-to-Work zones to help miners get out from under the burden of paying union dues. It's hoped effect is to eventually get rid of the unions so employers can offer better benefits directly to the miners, without the middle man of the union. Things are definitely coming up roses in coal country in 2017!
