A baby gator was found in a backyard koi pond...in Fort Wayne IN!
Judy D. Stated she came out of her kitchen onto the back porch overlooking the koi pond, when she noticed something resembling a stick laying in front of the intake. As she reached down to grab and remove "the stick" it swam off. Now thinking it might be a snake wanting to eat her koi. She hunted down the fast moving stick. She finally found and caught it. It was a baby alligator. Judy D. called IDNR and reached Dr Peter C. who stated we have received other reports of alligators all over Allen county and north into the Angola area famous for lake James, which is now totally infested with alligators. He also told her someone would be there within the next 24-48 hours to remove the gator. Judy D. told him not to bother and hung up. I'm going to keep the cute little guy. She giggled to me.
