Salt Lake City, UT - A heroic boy saved the family bird from an attacking cat after a budding friendship between the bird and cat apparently went south.
"I don't understand it, they seemed to be doing fine together so I went to get some graham crackers with frosting between them and next thing I know a big fight had erupted." Said the boy who asked to remain anonymous.
"I saw that cat running down the hallway with the bird in his mouth and I shouted, 'But you were getting along so great!'. I then proceeded to grab that cat and shake him until the bird was freed. After that the bird chirped once and never again."
The bird is reported to be in stable condition but not chirping. Attempts to reach the bird's owner were unsuccessful.
